Joy

The news these days can really make the world seem awful. And there are certainly things that need improving! Yet, as we study ancient times with my 2nd grader this school year, it is a constant reminder of how far the world has come. Recently I came across a resource developed by the University of Oxford that helps put our current conditions (poverty, education, etc.) in a bit of context, over the past 200 years. If you are in need of some good news, this may do it.

Alternatively, here is the song my 3 year-old is singing. Warning: it is quite catchy, but not a bad thing to have the phrase”I choose joy, let it move you…” running through our heads all day. And that has my joy factor up a bit 🙂 Wishing you joy this day, this fall, and success in finding it always.
